Logan Philip
Logan Philip arrived at 4:35 am on Tuesday, June 14th. He weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz, and was 20 inches long. It was a very quick labor- we got to the hospital at 3 am, and Logan was born an hour and a half later. It was so quick that the anesthesiologist didn't make it to our room on time, so Logan came without an epidural! Yikes! Both RJ and my midwife Susie were wonderful coaches and supporters. And now we have a beautiful baby boy!

All the numbers
At the swimming pool today Stirling found the number 3 painted on the side of the pool to indicate the depth and said "three, just like me." So I said, "yes, you are three years old. Do you know how old mommy is?" Without hesitation, he says with a smile and a large wave of his hand, "you're all the numbers mom!"

Black Eye
Well, he is a boy... I am sure this is the first of many!
The day of- 5/22/11

The day after- 5/23/11

Two days later- 5/24/11

He ran from the bathroom where I was getting him dressed, into our bedroom and I heard a THUNK and then a howl. He came back holding his face and wailing. There was a huge swelling under his eye right away, and a little gash where he cut his face on the trunk at the end of our bed. It was gruesome looking at first and I was freaking out! We put some ice on it and gave him some children's tylenol and put him down for a nap. After that, it didn't seem to bother him at all. By now, it is mostly yellowish with one purple line. Just enough to make him look like trouble!
