24 Weeks
Here is my latest and not so greatest pregnancy picture. I have been sick all week. I am around 24 weeks pregnant and the baby has been really active- moving all the time. I haven't felt him as much this past week. He is probably feeling the effects of this cold too.

Sick...
I've been sick for about a week now and it is really starting to wear on me. Last Friday, Stirling had a fever and was sniffling and coughing. Sure enough, by Saturday morning we were both sick. I haven't had a fever in a long time, and boy it got me hard! I was completely useless all weekend. I had four days off for the president's day holiday, and thought that I would be better by Tuesday to go back to work. Well, no such luck. I ended up only working on Friday! I had seven days off! I can't remember the last time I have taken so many sick days for me being sick. Anyway, today I have been congested and coughing and trying to keep up with Stirling who recovered almost right away. He has been such a toad today. Instead of taking a nap he got into a jar of Vaseline and coated his shirt and face and hands with a thick greasy layer- WHILE SITTING ON MY COUCH!!! I had been laying in bed trying to nap when I heard a little "squelch- squish" noise. Stirling was standing there squeezing the Vaseline on his fingers! Luckily the couch sustained minor damage. His shirt..... verdict is still out on that one! And I can't seem to wipe the banister clean no matter how hard I try! He also dumped bubble solution on the living room carpet and has been talking back all afternoon. Little mischief maker- doesn't he know his mama needs some down time?!?

Organization project
Living in a small apartment can present challenges for organization. We don't have an office, or even a desk to use as a mail center. Our kitchen is too small to devote a drawer or counter top to mail either. Ever since we moved in 4 1/2 years ago, we put our mail and bills on a ledge above the kitchen counter. And for 4 1/2 years it has been driving me crazy! I finally thought of a good solution!! I made a hanging mail sorter that we could use next to our bulletin board and calendar. I happened to have some blue fabric from the laundry room curtain left over, and the flowery material had been used in my classroom, but had outlived its purpose there. So I repurposed it! Below are some pictures of my project that I am very happy with.
I covered a sturdy piece of cardboard with some extra batting and fabric I had laying around.
I stitched pockets in two sizes into two more layers of fabric.
I stapled all the layers to the carboard on the backside.
Finished product.
Finished mail and bill organizer in use!
