Potty Training, Week 28, and Summer Begins!

Since I wasn't working this week on account of spring break, I decided it was the perfect time to potty train Stirling once and for all. He had occasionally been using the toilet for quite a while, especially before bathtime. He has had sticker charts to work on for months and has been earning prizes. But this week we put away all diapers and pull-ups and he has been wearing "big boy underwear" only. He has even decided he wants to put it on all by himself!

The first few days we had a couple of accidents and a few extra changes of clothes. But the last few days have been very successful- Stirling is even feeling comfortable sitting down for bowel movements. Of course he expects a popsicle every time- I don't know if I can keep up with that! He is still going to wear pull-ups and night and during his nap time for now. We'll work on that later. I am crossing my fingers that he can do this well when he goes back to school next week.

Here are a few week 28 or so photos from my pregnancy. I think we have decided on the name Logan Philip for this little boy. Only about 10 weeks to go now! Yay!

We have been enjoying the hot weather this week with one of Stirling's potty prizes- water balloons. We also filled his water table and he is having a blast splashing around in it. The pool was tested yesterday and felt good- but only up to the knees! It is still cool during the night and the pool isn't heated, so we will continue to cautiously test the waters! One day Stirling built himself a little obstacle course from all of his outside toys, and inside RJ helped him build a fort in the living room. Yesterday we spent the whole day outside watching the Arbor Tech guys trim the palm trees from leafy to little. Stirling was excited about the tools they were using!
